gCloth inserts

No more pins or plastic pants, gDiapers gives parents the option of cloth diapering with easy-to-use gCloth cloth diaper inserts. gCloth is designed to fit perfectly inside little gPants diaper covers, for a super soft and trim fit. No folding required. If you’re just starting out and plan on using cloth most of the time, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Keep 6-8 little gPants on hand, and 10-12 snap-in liners, per size.
  • Plan on using 12 cloth inserts a day, so if you only want to do laundry every 2 days you’ll want at least 2 dozen cloth inserts.
  • Keep a stash of biodegradable gRefills in your diaper bag, for a guilt-free disposable option when out and about.

gDiapers. Cloth diapering done simple.

There are a ton of cloth diaper systems on the market. So many cloth covers, so many cloth inserts! Well then, why gDiapers? What’s different? We’re happy to explain.

  • Our snap-in liner is made of a water-resistant nylon. It’s highly breathable which means that babies are far less likely to get diaper rash.
  • The snap-in liner is removable. You can re-use it over and over if it isn’t soiled, and if it is (and it will be with poopy diapers!) you can simply unsnap it, put a fresh one in, and continue using the same little gPant on future diaper changes.
  • The snap-in liner is an extra barrier between you, your baby’s clothes, the little gPant, and the enormous messes that babies can make.
  • gDiapers is a versatile system. gCloth at home, biodegradable gRefills when out and about. Plain and simple. One diaper system for home and away.

Storing and caring for cloth diapers.

When you first receive your gCloth inserts you’ll need to prep them before first use. Hemp is an amazing material. The more it is washed, the more absorbent it becomes. It has natural oil on the fibers that needs to be stripped away so that it can open up to optimum thirstiness. Before the first use you’ll need to wash your gCloth on hot 6 times without detergent, and machine dry in between each wash. They will shrink a bit. Actual shrinkage will vary based on laundering practices. Our diapers are designed to shrink to the correct size after the initial 6 prep washes. If you care for your diapers in another way you may see different results in performance and size.

There are some accessories out there that help make the cloth diaper laundry a bit easier to manage. . A diaper sprayer helps getting solid waste off the cloth and into the toilet. A wet bag is handy to have in your diaper bag, keeping soiled diapers separate from the clean items in your bag when you’re out and about. If you use a dry pail to store your diapers a diaper pail liner makes it easy to transfer the dirty cloth to your washing machine

Cloth diapering tips, tricks and tidbits.

Cloth diapers are good for the environment, soft against baby’s skin, and gentle on your wallet. But they are not designed to be as absorbent as disposables, so they do need to be changed more often. If you plan on using cloth inserts the bulk of the time you will need to change your baby about every 2 hours. When extra absorption is needed, for overnight or out and about for instance, you may want to double up or use a biodegradable gRefill. The white side of the gCloth (the microfleece) sits against baby’s bum. The microfleece layers draw the moisture away from baby’s bottom and traps it in the hemp/cotton layers. gCloth has been designed to fit perfectly inside little gPants, but there are other cloth inserts on the market. Regardless of which ones you choose to use, there are some issues that can occur with all cloth diapers: diaper rash and leaks.
